Evaluation of fingerprints as a sampling matrix for the monitoring of tuberculosis drugs

Tuberculosis (TB) is one of the top 10 causes of death worldwide, despite the fact it is treatable and curable when combatted with a combination of antimicrobial drugs. Drug testing is a useful tool which can assist clinicials treatment of infected individuals and also monitor patient adherence. This presentation explores the use of fingerprint sweat as an alternative matrix for the analysis of tuberculosis drugs.
